I have been under treatment for hyper thyrodism for the past 8 years. I took neo -mercazole tablets according to my doctor's advice. For the past 8 months the test results were normal and so the doctor asked me to stop taking in medicine. But now when I tested, it has shown up again.T3 and T4 are normal but TSH is 0.04.now the doctor is prescribing radio iodine treatment .

I would like to know how safe is this tratment.I am an unmarried women of age 23.Will this be harmful for the rest of my life .Or should I continue to take the tablets?

Even if I undergo this treatment ,how much time will it take for this treatment to be done??
