I am curious WHY it can take anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 months for Radiation Iodine (for hyperthyroidism) to start to work?

There is considerable individual variation in the timing and extent of response to radioiodine treatment, due to individual variation in the sensitivity of the thyroid to radioiodine.
