Q: Quitting smoking and false positive pregnancy test

Can quitting smoking cause a false positive on a pregnancy test? I'm only a few days late, and have gained about 15lbs since quitting smoking 49 days ago. I took a pregnancy test just to put my fiancee's mind at ease and it came out positive!

As far as I know, quitting smoking cannot cause a false positive pregnancy test. Here are some things that can:
soap/ detergent (This is why women should urinate directly on the stick rather than into a cup that may have soap or detergent residue.)
HCG fertility shots
anticonvulsant medications
tranquilizers
diuretics
Parkinsons medications
trophoblastic tumors in the reproductive system
hysterical pregnancy
