Q: quit birth control

I quit birth control in the beginning of November due to chest pain and other serious side effects. I had a period 3 days after i quit but now, about 3 months later i still haven't had one yet. Ive talked to my doctor about it but she doesn't seem very concerned because im in basketball and very physically active. Can you tell me if its normal that i still havent got a period 3 months after quitting in the middle of a pack? When i looked it up on the internet it said it takes about 3-6 months for the body to adjust but im just not sure.
Thanks

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Sometimes it does take a long time before your body adjusts to being off birth control. I've gone off the Pill and the Depo Provera shot and each time it took 3-6 months for my periods to resume their normal pattern.

Did you have any weird side effects when you went off the pill?

When I went off the pill and finally had my period it lasted almost a month. Just when I had decided to go to the doctor it ended and was normal after that. Other than that, I didn't experience any side effects. (I have never heard of anyone else having this problem.)
