Hi! For the past 2 years I have been having a weird feeling in my chest. At first it would come randomly and felt like a weird, quick heartbeat for a couple seconds. Then it would go away for some weeks and come back. The past year the feeling has come when I am doing exercise, as though my heart starts beating rapidly, and the only way to make it stop is to stop the activity I'm doing ( In which case it takes a while to slow back down. ) I went to the clinic but all they did was an EKG and everything looked fine. I have also been having some difficulty breathing at times, as though I'm not taking good regulated breaths. I'm just worried it might be heart related, since I've had some past heart problems in my family's history. Thank you! -Sarah

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I am really glad to help you out.

The possibility of a heart disease in a young female is quite less likely unless there’ a congenital heart disease.

I’ll suggest getting an echocardiography done. A 24 hour holter monitoring can also be done to rule out any rhythm disturbances of the heart.

However, as you don’t seem to have significant symptoms suggestive of a heart disease.

I sincerely believe all you reports are going to come back as normal. Please do consult a cardiologist for the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
