Q: Questions on CPR?

Can you give chest compression to someone who has an artificial heart (mechanical), this question was raised after I read this article on www.cpraedcourse.com after I completed online CPR training.

I believe chest compressions are used to manually pump the heart. That being said, A person with artificial heart can't have chest compressions or there is no need. If that mechanical heart was to stop he needs to go to the hospital ASAP.
