Hi. I have only recently discovered that I have anxiety and have been suffering it all my life but has been much worse since I turned 18 (I am now 29). Anxiety/depression is in the family(only discovered very recently).
My husband has started treatment for depression just over a month ago and through researching the disease is how I discovered I had anxiety! (I felt pretty ridiculous acutally)
My current symptoms are extreme tightness in chest and throat, can't stop thinking about certain stresses, can't concentrate, headaches and neck aches, can't feel happy and don't want to live like this anymore!. I find I will have anxiety for a month and then slip into depression for a week or so before I pull myself out of it and back into axious mode again. We live on a farm (Australia) with a $1M loan sitting on our head and the stress is too much to bare. Commodity prices just simply donot cover the expenses and as I do all the bookwork I am simply not coping with the fact we are risking losing my husbands farm which has been in the family for over 100yrs. A coal mine is approx 20km away. My husband and MIL developed asthma the same year the coal mine greatly expanded their digging.

At the age of 17 I went to College. Started drinking and smoking (gave up after 1 yr)and at the same time developed nasal polyps, all year round hayfever and panic attacks(I was overweight but fit and still am). When I was 22 I finally pushed the Dr. to refer my to a specialist and had the nasal polyps removed. I was told to remain on antihistimines for the rest of my life. But they give me nose bleeds.
IN more recent months I have given up gluten (and most grains- instead I eat seeds/nuts), dairy and sugar. Basically I try and eat how humans would have eaten 100s of years ago. Once I have up coffee and drank nothing but water my hayfever disappeared!!! Very excited. But anxiety is worse then ever! (It's not from changing my diet)

I am very curious so I have some questions for other anxiety sufferers:
Has anyone had any luck with medications/therapy/natural remedies?
Do you also suffer any allergies/sinus related conditions?
Do you live near any mines?
Do you exercise regularly?
Do you avoid cane and artficial sugar?

I am sorry for the long winded story. I would be very appreciative of all replies. I am keen to learn if there is a cause to my anxiety and if I can fix it naturally. rainbow

I have been extremely stressed and anxious the past couple of weeks. I wake up with a tension headache and go to bed with one. My mind is so busy that it is giving me a constant headache and neckache. Occasionally I'll take panadol but I don't like taking medication unless the pain is unbearable.
I rarely get any other form of headache since I have been looking after my diet over the past couple of years. (ie cut out gluten and sugar except for an occasional treat).
