Can someone tell me if two 25mg tablets are the same as one 50mg tablet please? the answer seems pretty obvious but as it involves high blood pressure tablets I thought I'd better ask first,

I'm asking because I went to see my doctor and he doubled my dose from 25mg to 50mg and made a comment that he would like me to start taking them immediately however I have a couple of strips of 25mg tablets left and don't want to waste them so I'm thinking I can take 2 of them a day until they run out and then switch to the 50mg ones, what do you think?
