Q: Question about 1st prenatal appt

So they scheduled me for my first prenatal on the 2 on june for which that would be 8 weeks counting from the first day of my LMP. Will they do an ultrasound in that first appt?? Did you guys bringed your husband with you?

I don't think they will do an ultrasound. Generally they schedule one for around the 12 week mark. I did happen to get an ultrasound at 7 weeks but that was because of some complications I was having. As long as everything seems to be going normal (i.e no bleeding, abnormal pain etc.) my obgyn won't do an ultrasound till 3 months. They'll probably just do a pelvic exam, give you prenatals and all that fun stuff.

i got an u/s on my very first appt. They wanted to see about how far along i was...even then they couldnt tell, so they schedualed me for another u/s two weeks later. They wanted to make sure everything was developing ok. GL at your appt!
