I have been having Premature Ventricular Contractions now for 7 months and it is becoming unbearable. They misdiagnosed me for the longest time telling me it was simply panic attacks so I was on xanax. Well I realize now that xanax actually was working to help control the pvc's because I stopped taking them in Dec. 2008. Since then they have given me 2 different types of beta blockers and neither are putting a dent in the pvc's. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does anyone else have these probs?

I feel as if doctors just don't care because the pvc's are in fact benign. But safe or not, they are debilitating and taking over my life as I've known it. I am at my breaking point and ready to snap.

Also another oddity is that everytime I eat they pvc's get worse. It doesn't matter what I eat, just the sheer act of digestion makes the pvc's about 10 times worse and it last for hours. I am at the point I'd rather just not eat anymore if I must suffer this way anytime I do.

Any ideas or discussion would be helpful! thanks so much!

Did you know there is a thing called a vagus nerve,it has something to do with the esophagus.I get those too, have had them for years, the dr says they are nothing.I know what you mean they are annoying.I think the nerve has something to do with it or else it is gerd that aggravates the condition. You should ask for some atenolol blood pressure meds that might also help.I was told beforethat I have a heart murmer and was checked for mitral valve but they said It was negative. That was 15 years ago when they really started bothering me.I went to a cardiologist,I would go to a specialist to see what they say.

I have tachycardia but when my heart isnt randomly beating up to 200 beats per minute i get PAC/PVC.. Dr says that they r nothing, but i still feel like crap.. Sometimes my heart actually goes into an arrythmia and sometimes it just has pacs.. Either way i just feel bad, get tired doing nothing, and i feel like im going to pass out.. Ive had two uncessful heart ablations, and ive failed about 10 meds.. IT SUCKS.. Right now im on rythmol, coreg, and lovaza (brand name fish oil) and they are helping a little bit..I wish that dr would understand that even though these things cannot "cause any problems" that they interfere with you life and generally make people feel unwell.. Good luck to you.. If you wanna chat pm me..

Seeing an Cardiac Electrophysiologist who specializes in arrhythmias and PVC's should be helpful. Sometimes a procedure called a catheter ablation may be necessary to ablate or burn away the focus causing the PVC's. Cardiac Electrophysiologists specialize and perform this procedure which can be curative. Hope this suggestion helps.
