Presence of pus cells (leucocytes) in the urine sample indicates that you have a type of urinary tract infection. Microbiological examination (urine culture) is required to identify the infective agent and to find the proper antibiotic for it. No infective agent was identified and no indication was given of which antibiotic was prescribed to you. Certain antibiotics (like gentamycin, for example) can be given only by injection.
