This comes from Americans For Medical Rights.
According to an Americans for Medical Rights Fact Sheet, every medical marijuana initiative ever placed before voters has succeeded, with between 54% to 65% voting in favor. In addition, every major scientific poll of public opinion on medical marijuana has shown overwhelming public support for patients’rights to use marijuana as medicine, and for doctors’rights to recommend or prescribe it.
That said, the laws must be changed...where are the legal rights of the doctors and patients? The legislation truly needs to be changed and the sooner the better. Lets get out of the stone age and get real once and for all. No one is suggesting a free for all "lets get stoned and party" policy, although that law works for alcohol. We just need the right as people living with chronic or debilitating or terminal illnesses to get and use medical marijuana with out the threat of being arrested and prosecuted and imprisoned.
