I change my daughter's nappy in the car if necessary, but that's about it.

I always find a bathroom. Even if it doesn't have the changing facility, I have a designated blanket to lay her on, so either on the sink or floor. If I can't find a bathroom, I use the car, which is getting more difficult because of her size.

Yeah, although i haven'y got a baaby yet, i think if there are no facilities in a bathroom or no bathroom, i'd change him/her in my car too not in public places, like a restayrant or park bench.

I don't like the idea of doing it in a restaurant or near a sink where people wash up. But I will also NEVER EVER EVER use a changing station ~ those are nasty and dirty. Have you ever seen one being cleaned?

I change Kaylee in the car most of the time before we go into the store/restaurant/whatever. If I do have to use the changing station I make sure I put a blanket down over it. I think I might start carrying lysol wipes with me just for that reason alone!

When I have my niece, I always change her in the car before we go anywhere. Even though I have a blanket, I wouldnt change her in the bathroom only because she is getting bigger now and she squirms around and I wouldnt want her touching anything gross.
Those wipes are a great thing to have on hand. I have a small pack in my car and my work car, just in case of emergencies.

I still only have a 3mo old so she doesn't squirm much at all. But that's why I always have the blanket with me. Those baby changing stations are supposed to have disposable liners in them, but I've yet to see one with ANY...

I never saw any changing station with the liners either until the other day when I was at the mall, I was amazed they actually had them! Granted, there was only one there lol, but it's a start I guess.

Incidentally, i went to a family day at a racecourse ground yesterday like we do each year and there, the group next to us changed their baby's pooey nappy very openly while we were eating and the sight and smell was disgusting. They're car was right behind them and it was really inconsiderate. When i changed my nephew with my brother, we did it in the car because it is only courtesy. That's just my opinion.

I've never changed my son's diaper in public.. I always use the car if there isn't a changing station around... I ALWAYS have a blanket/changing pad on hand for the changing stations.

Yeah, i find public nappy changing disgusting so as i said when i have a baby i do it in the car but my car is a simulated chavvy 'boy racer' one so it is kind of really 'uncool' to do it in there (boy racers and nappies?) but what the heck

I will change my son in public if absolutely necessary.
I do look around and make sure there aren't a lot of people around.
I won't let my son sit in a dirty diaper any longer than he has to,so as soon as I notice it's dirty I will try to find a private place to change him but if the facility I am in doesn't offer a changing station than I have no problem going to a secluded area and laying a blanket down.
My son gets really bad diaper rashes if not changed quickly enough and a few moments of discomfort for other people is better(in my eyes)than a few days of discomfort for my son.

I can understand your point and, at least you do try to find a secluded area and not literally do it in front of crowds in public places, like a beech or a restaurant.

It is funny that this is a topic because just this past weekend we were at an outlet that had a Carter's store in it and there was a dad changing his baby right on the table they have in there for children to play at. Not even realizing that because that is a childrens clothing store, they had a changing room right in the back for that.. I notified the employees there to look at him changing a stinky diaper on the childrens leggo table and when the employee said something to the man he nonchalantly (sp) shrug his shoulders like so what... that was disgusting because children play at the table and he changed a diaper there. The employee did spray it down with lysol though...
If I have to, I change jayden in the car and if I am in an area where there is a changing table, I carry those lysol wipes around and wipe it off first and use a blanket when lying him down on it.

I will not change my child in a public place. I am afraid of the pervs out there. I change the kids in the car.
