Q: Proton pump inhibitors and heartburn ?

I was prescribed Protonix due to some pain in my upper right side and slight heartburn. After taking it seemed as if my heartburn problem tripled and after a month I stopped and the heartburn cut in half. Has anyone else had problems with a medicine like this??

Have you talked to your doctor about the side effects of Protonix? Some of them include:

diarrhea
headache
stomach pain
gas or bloating

I wonder if there's another proton-pump inhibitors that might work better in your system? I would talk to your doc.
