Hello. I am worried about having HIV. I had protected (condom) sex with a prostitute about 6 months ago. Lately, I have been having diarrhea and a very mild fever for a few weeks. I went to a doctor and he gave me antibiotics which made it better but after a few days the diarrhea returned. I am really worried. Althought I used a condom in the said encounter, I "fingered" her and also licked/sucked her breasts so that's why I am extra worried. The diarrhea is pretty watery and my intestines grumble all the time. I've got no other symptoms and I haven't lost any weight. In fact, I've been extra hungry lately and my fatigue is as it has always been. Please help. Thank you!

Um, it is extremely RARE to contract HIV/AIDS from 'fingering' someone, no matter what their background is. It is also equally RARE to contract the disease from licking someone's breasts.
It sounds like you are worrying over something that is not likely at all. Just because you have diarrhea doesn't mean you have HIV/AIDS. My advice would be to chug some Pepto Bismol and call it a day.
Obsessive worrying should be followed with a visit to a doctor for anxiety.

Thank you for the reply. You know, it's easy to tell someone that there isn't a problem but for someone who hasnt had such symptoms before it's pretty scary and yes, I agree that anxiety is a problem, but for such a serious problem as HIV, one can't help but feel this way, right? I guess my diarrhea/ fever could be caused by many things but maybe other people have had the same symptoms so I am just trying to contribute. Again, thanks.

If you are worried that you have contracted the disease, you need to get tested. Since it has been 6 months, a test result should be accurate by now.
I would also seek assistance for your anxiety while there.
