About 15 years ago I started having a reaction about 6 hours after eating salmon. I would wake in the middle of the night to a strong pain. A pain like a hand was grabbing my prostate and squeezing very hard. The pain wouId last from 5 to 15 minutes, but would subside quicker when I drink a glass of water. It took awhile to figure out it was salmon or other red fish with strong fish oil.

Recently I started having prostate problems, which I think came from taking fish oil pills. A couple of weeks ago I stopped taking the fish oil pills, but my prostate is still very sensitive. Last week I had a colonoscopy and this week I went to a urinary doc. Both told me I was fine for my age and neither had ever heard on my situation.

Over the years I've talked to at least a half dozen doctors and none have ever heard of my problem.

Anyone ever heard of this before? Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
