Propane poisoning

My wife and I had a small propane leak in our basement. After having a geo-thermal heating system installed. The problem went unaddressed for 5 weeks We both began to feel blah and noticed our memory failing us. Like blank spots where we couldn't recall basic info. The leak was small and fixed after we discovered it. Is there permanent damage? We left for a vacation and we are outside most of the day next to the ocean. Our memories are seemingly returning.
