Q: Prolotherapy Injections ?

I'm beginning - yet again - to research TMJ treatment options with the hope of finding some sort of lasting relief after 14 years of constant pain & treatment failure after failure. I seem to have luckily stumbled upon this board, which appears to be very active and informative.

Although those suffering may not think so, it's nice to find that I'm not alone.

I stumbled upon this type of therapy for Chronic Back Pain (primarily lower), and wondered if those suffering from debilitating TMJ pain had tried it? If so, I'd be highly appreciative to learn about your experiences - both favorable and unfavorable.

My oral surgeon recently suggested steroid injections. Is that what you mean? I think I am headed down that road too. I am sorry for you. I have only been dealing with severe TMJ for a few months, but it feels like a lifetime. I'll check back here, interested to learn more about this.
