35yr old female with history of menstrual difficulties. First cycle @ 16 yrs of age once, then not again till 18 - were extremely heavy, painful, lasted 11 -12 days. Birth control age 21 (now 5-6 days)- giant tumour removed from right ovary/ fallopian tube age 23. Went on depo - 3.5yrs - b/c pills for two years after this. Affected mood flucuations, went off birth control two years ago. Have had to take medication to induce periods as I was not getting any for the first 1.5 years off. Naturally had period Jan 09, then again first week in March 09 - bleeding has not stopped since then (now 4 mos). Go from heavy for 2 weeks / light for two weeks and back. Blood during "light" stage is bright pinkish/red - doesn't look "normal". Large clotting thru both stages. Had pap - normal (Doctor noted blood/mucus at cervix, uterus & ovary ultrasound done, hormones tested - all okay. Worried as the "light' stage is getting heavier and not "normal" menstrual blood. Worried - mother had stage 4 dysplasia - had a full hysterectomy - surgeon told her it was a good thing as they found uterine cancer where they wouldn't have normally seen? Have physical with my g.p July 24th - cannot get in earlier. Wondering what questions should I ask etc? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you.
