I am trying to understand the motives of the more vocal or physical prolife protestors at clinic settings.
I have a case study of a gentleman who, in his words, "yells at women" going into clinics because it makes him "feel superior". At further sessions he has shared more infomation about his powerless, abusive marriage which was over two years ago. He has not yet made the connection, but it made me curious about the motivations of other prolife protestors.
We had yodavater on here for a time, and he is a protestor who takes photographs of women going into clinics and posts them on the internet. It seemed in my opinion a bit extreme, but he never divulged any reason other than "save the babies" for doing so.
At the local clinic I drive by every day, there is always a group of 4-5 older males (never have I seen a woman) who hand out leaflets and show posters. I know one of them as an acquaintance, and he has a mental illness.
Could protesting be a way to feeling empowered?
Are there any prolife advocates on this board who actively protest at abortion clinics? Could you share your methods and motivations?
