progesterone cream with mirena iud ??? Posted: 07-03-08 17:37pm


Does anyone know if it safe to use a natural progesterone cream with the mirena iud??? Wanting to get off IUD causing issue but in mean time wondering if I should use a progesterone cream in addition to the Mirena due to mental, mood, spotting, long periods, depression, cramping any ideas??

Progesterone cream won't help you to relief the side effects caused by IUD. Mirena IUD already contains progesterone that releases it. If irregular bleeding and long periods become intolerable you can remove the IUD.

Would the Mirena cause serve cramping after having sex...almost to the point of not being able to move?
