My stool has been weird for the last 6+ months... Lately it's been light brown with holes in it and some blood, before that it was like a patchwork of different brown shades. It's also been a grayish color and there was a period where it was almost like pellets and real long and thin. I've had blood mostly on the toilet paper (not much) and sometimes in the stool itself. My anus has at time itched and I've noticed that when I wipe it's sometime a little "greasy" in look and doesn't really seem to have any odor. I should probably bite the bullet and go in for a checkup but I thought I'd see what people here thought first.

Hello, and thanks for your medical question on E Health Forum.

From the history provided it seems that you might have indigestion or a malabsorption syndrome.

Gray colored stools or greasy stools could be due to deficiency of biliary and pancreatic enzymes.

You might undergo a stool examination to detect fat malabsorption syndromes .

You might consult your doctor for a physical examination and specific tests as needed.

I hope this helps.
