problems breathing after 2weekcough

i had a very bad cough for two weeks where i would cough untill i throw up and have a headache,problems sleeping.i went to the doctor was put on antibiotics and cough mixture the second week my voice went and carried on getting worse even after i finished my course.i had phlegm in mu throat but could not get it out and wen i when cough to clear my throat i would choke and continually start coughing and run out of breath.i went bck to the doctor and was told i have bacteria in my throat,throat infection was put on more antibiotics and mouth wash to kill bacteria finished ny course im no longer coughing but still some phlegm in throat and wen i try to clear my throat my cough still sounds bad and my throat feels dry and my wind pipe blocks ans cant breath for a few seconds.im really worried!and scared because the doc said i shld come bck if they is no change so she can send me o a throat ear nose specialist?? please help wat is the problem? my voice is back jus this choking and not breathing and coughs here and there tht still sound bad??? please urgent response!
