Q: Preventing migraines ?

Within the past year or so, I have started to get migraines. They usually happen at work if I'm sitting at the computer for long periods of time. (or they are brought on by severe heat) Usually I'm at the computer around 8 hours a day, sometimes longer. When I get the headaches, they are typically one side of my head and throbbing pain that wont go away with tylonal or advil. I started to buy Advil Migraine last year which seems to help. Besides drinking water and taking my eyes away from the computer for a while, is there any way to prevent getting a migraine? It really ruins my day and sometimes I get them so bad they last for 2-3 days. Sad

In many cases, migraines are believed to be brought on by stress.
Both, hot and cold, are known as triggers of migraine headaches, too.

What kind of additional symptoms you are experiencing along with the headache?
