I have been taking the birth control sprintec for about 4 months. Last month I had no period and my periods are very regular even after I had my son they went back to normal for the most part. I took 2 tests about 2 weeks ago and they both said negative. I just started my 3rd row of active pills and I have been spotting for a couple of days and ive had some pretty bad cramping but my period isn't supposed to be here for another week. Should I be worried?

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The symptoms could suggest possibility of breakthrough bleeding, implantation bleed (if you had been sexually active without additional protection, or if you were not regular with pill intake, or due to chances of contraceptive failure). Wait and watch for your periods/withdrawal bleeding. If you miss your periods, or if you get abnormal bleeding, or if you develop any new symptoms, visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation and assistance. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Drink plenty of water. Take adequate rest. Maintain healthy diet and lifestyle.
Take care.
