I started having painfull contractions at 32 weeks pregnant. They sent me to the hospital and gave me medication to stop the labor, and also steroid shots to help babies lungs mature faster. I'm now 33 weeks and on bed rest. My question is, how much is that shot going to help? If I had the baby now, would his lungs be developed? How much does the steroid actually do? Thanks.
