Q: pressure under ribs after appendix surgery

on 07-08-09 I had appendix surgery but the doctor did the incisions on my left side. Well recently I've been experiencing pressure under my ribs and its not painful but very annoying and gets in the way of everything. I'm supposed to be seeing my doctor soon but I need to know is this normal or not?
