Hallo

Is it possible that air concentrates in the sphenoid sinus, due to swelling
of the sphenoethmoidal recess.
Is it also possible that air concentrates in the middle ear due to dysfunction of the tuba eustachi.
I have Pressure in the Backhead since December. At one Occasion the pressure was rising intensly and
lowered down when suddenly air streamed out of a channel on the nose.
But i dont know if the air either streamed out of the sphenoid sinus or elsewhere.
The Doctors I have asked do not have an answer to my symptoms.

Greetings from Austria

Anton

Hello Anton,

I too have had pressure in the back of my head, ringing in my ears, drainage, and pressure that moves into my ears at times. I've been seeing an ENT since the end of December. He diagnosed me initially with vertigo, gave me steroids and valium for dizziness. It helps to a certain extent. I continued to have pressure in my head and was given a prescription for an antihystimine. It did not help and was then given a prescription for an antibiotic. It did help initially, but the pressure has returned to the back of my head and into my ears. My ENT has ordered testing, Balance testing and an MRI. I'm really nervous and not certain what can be going on if medicine is not helping.

Did you receive help or relief for your symptoms?

Sincerely,
AJ
