you probably have a mineral inbalance so a good start would be to take a good multivitamin along with your folic acid. also if your stressing a B complex with calcium & magnesium in it, the "B's" help with nerve function & the calcium & magnesium help to relax the muscles. Remember to drink good water, 1 litre for every 25kg of bodyweight is a good guide.
