Most people haven't really considered what a cheek-ache is, but let me tell you, it's horrible. I went to the dentist, thinking I needed a root canal or something, but she told me I happened to have a regular cavity and that in the x-ray (conducted despite the fact that I'm pregnant because of the incredible pain I'm experiencing) she saw that my sinus was clogged and that was probably the source of the pain. So next I made an appointment with my doctor who, despite the pregnancy, prescribed antibiotics, thinking it was a bacterial sinus infection. Well, I finished the antibiotics, plugged up the cavity at the dentist, and I still have flashes of intense pain. I am at my wits end about what to do. What do you suggest? I am thinking of going back to the doctor for a referral to a facial surgeon or an ENT.
