sperm could enter through microscopic tears that are not visible to the human eye.

Some oil base lubricants can also breakdown the latex in the condom creating more little tears. That's why you always use water base lubricants.

Also, sometimes people forget to put the condom on first thing.

Usually, if you follow the directions perfectly then your chances are pretty slim. So when the directions say, "Remove condom before erection is lost," then you need to so your chances of leaks or spills onto the vagina don't happen.

Thats why back up methods of birth control are always a good thing.

Condoms aren't 100%, not even with perfect use.

Out of 100 women, typical use of a condom will have 10-15 of those women pregnant. Perfect use would have it as 2-3 women would be pregnant.

People screw up...many different ways. I could recount them all, but it would be multiple posts. Don't worry about other people anyways...keep using your condom the best way possible (before any kind of penis-vagina contact, using water base lubricant, after he comes have him hold the base of the penis as the penis is coming out of the vagina, have him check the condom every once in awhile to make sure it's still there, use enough lube) and you'll be fine.

i think those # are wrong. All of my friends use condoms and none of them are pregnant. I have been using condoms for a year and a half and im not pregnant. I mostly dont even use condoms lol we use pull out method in the heat of the moment. But my partner never cums in the condoms he pulls out when hes close to cumming and takes the condom off and cums...

Not every one is a Fertile Myrtle. It can take a perfectly healthy couple a while to conceive. I work with a woman that was trying for 3 years to get pregnant. They had sex without a condom, no pull out...nothing.

On the other hand, some people apparently have eggs coming out there vagina. My mom became pregnant while she was on birth control, and she insists she was taking the pills regularly with good use.

why would i find another form of birth control? im perfectly fine with the one im using. No i am not on the pill. If condoms were so ineffective people wouldnt use them....2-3 in every 100? that seems sooo wrong. Every 50th woman wouldnt be pregnant then...

no one said swallow brith control pills...they simply said USE BIRTH CONTROL..by that you assumed we meant pills...YOU are the one that said you used the "Pull out method" and i can tell you right now that you are playing with fire...no one is perfect..no one here has implied that they haven't made mistakes...im simply saying that it is extremely ignorant to believe that just because youve been lucky and not gotten pregnant that your method is flawless and will work forever..no hunny..i'm sorry..it wont..even the PILL is only 99% effective when taken PERFECTLY..meaning you CAN still get pregnant...your chances are MUCH greater if you continue to not use condoms...and eventually you will probably learn the heard way...you cant argue with statistics...as someone said earlier..condoms can tear, leak or slide off...it isn't fool proof...please...be smart about things..no one is trying to attack you...we're just simply trying to give you advice

i know all of this, i wasnt looking for advice, i was wondering how people get pregnant while using condoms. and i never said pull out method is the only method i use, plus we are very careful about it. Its not like we have full out intercourse without condoms, it lasts for about 2 minutes because we dont want to go any farther.

well..you did ask how people got pregnant while on the condom...we gave you the facts..you objected and refused to believe them...also you said that you rarely used condoms, you used the pull out method and still haven't gotten pregnant..i just didn't want you to think that it cant and wont happen is all....because thats the way your posts made it sound...its your choice i'm just simply stating the facts

What's the point in asking a question if you're just going to say it's wrong. I don't care if you have 50 friends who use condoms and aren't pregnant. We have given you reasons WHY it is that way. There are actual people on these boards who have gotten pregnant using condoms. Dannzilbelle is the first one that comes to mind as she got pregnant while using condoms and the pill. Maybe you're infertile and THAT's why you haven't gotten pregnant yet. Who knows. We answered your question. Check wikipedia or any source of unbiased research.
