Well hello my name is Tamsin and im 18

basically me and my fiance have been trying for a baby for 8 months , knowing that due to me having Polycystic ovaries it may never happen . A doctor has advised me that my ovaries may cause more problems when i reach around 21 , so we knew if we wanted children we didnt have long. Ive known my partner almost 4 years and we are very happy together and both want a big family . We both are working and he finishes college in a few months and will be fully qualified engineer and i wish to go to university in about 12 months . So we are financially secure and we have a lovely home together.

I took a pregnancy test as my period was about 10 days late , it said negative ( it was a cheap one ) , a few days later i came on my period for 4 days and the first day was extremely painful and heavy . However i still am getting the sickness , abdomen pains , headaches , aching lower back , tiredness etc ..

We have a good sex life , normally once a day . Ive been told it is possible for me to be pregnant but not from beforemy period . Is that right ? I really need some advice

When you are stressing about becoming pregnant your mind can convince your body your pregnant when you really aren't. If you tested negative that late and then got your period anyways I can say with about 99% certainty you are not pregnant. Though you can always get a blood test just to ease your mind.

My best advice would be just keep trying but do not worry much about your period and stuff like that. You can psyche your body out, which I think is what happened. You cant have a period and have pregnancy symptoms at the same time.

Hey there,

My wife and I tried for about 8 months to get pregnant. After months of disappointment we decided that we did not want to have children. That there was a lot of things we wanted to do before we settled down.

We then got pregnant straight away....

I guess the advise is dont stress too much about getting pregnant. The mind is very powerful and can play tricks on your body.

Just relax and continue to have unprotected sex at the right times and it will happen.

A note though....you mentioned you have sex almost every day. We went to a doctor to get advise when we were trying to fall. His advice was NOT to have it every day. It is actually better for the guy to build up some sperm over a few days and then have sex.

When is more important than how many...

Hope it all works out!!
