I recently found out that I have a "high risk" strain of HPV. I have heard that you can still have your period and be pregnant even though I am hoping that is not true. The last time that I had sex was on January 1st and had my period later that month. In February, I had my period (started on the 17th), but it was light and only lasted a couple of days. It is now March 20th and I have taken leap year into account. I have a 28-29 cycle. I still have not started my period and I am about 4-5 days late without any signs of my period . I am still researching HPV I have minor/low grade dysplasia and I have to have a biopsy on March 29th. Is it possible that my HPV is affecting my period or is it possible to be pregnant. Also...if anyone knows anything about HPV I would appreciate the information. I'm terrified that I have cervical cancer, but my doctor just said that they found abnormal cells on my cervix...not precancerous or cancerous.

HPV with minor low grade dysplasia is not going to affect your period. You DO NOT have cervical cancer. You have LOW GRADE lesions. That is not even close to cervical cancer. Your doctor also would have been able to tell if you were pregnant, because your cervix changes colors when you are Your uterus would also be bigger. Good luck at your biopsy.
