Anyone else think this is a really bad idea to put this on MTV? Sure, it shows that pregnancy isn't ALL that.. But it makes it look SO much easier than it is! They show like 3 days after the baby's born and non of the bad days with the baby. I feel like the show is going to bring upon the idea that pregnancy is okay for teens. Sure it's okay, I can't say anything cause I'm 17 and 31 weeks pregnant, but this is no joy so far. I'm already down $2000 and I don't have everything I need, or any diapers yet! This show is a disappointment, along with all MTV shows. Who agreeees ? Sad

wow. thats not rigjt at all! No show should make people think that raising a child is a piece of cake, because it infact isnt. Whats this show called? Ive never seen it before? But good luck with preparing for your baby. Are you having a boy or a girl?

no problem. i think that is insane though. they are trying to get the pregnancy rate down arent they? now they are just glorifying pregnancy like its a cool trend or something. that frustrates me. gahh! lol.

they are not glorifying it, i have watched this show plenty of times. i am 15 and have a 2 month old baby. i think that some of the girls on this show have NO idea what they are doing but it shows that you have to learn how to do things on your own, and that things wont be about you anymore and that they have to be about your baby. No raising a baby is not easy, and i knew that when i got pregnant and if there was a show on like this BEFORE i got pregnant maybe i would of though about everything before i did it. and maybe you should think about the fact that not all teen moms are bad, i dont regret having my baby girl and i never in my life will !

i never said teen moms were bad.. i'm going to be one very soon so why would i ever say that? i'm saying they aren't showing the hardest of it all. they don't focus on the expenses, the stress, the worries, the complications.. nothing big. just labor(barely) and the first night or two. and all the parents are supporting and there for every step. lets think reality now, how many girls have been kicked onto the street cause they were pregnant at 14, 15, 16, 17? how many have hid theyre pregnancy, never got any care, and then went into the hospital complaining of stomach pains and ended up giving birth?

i don't regret keeping my baby, and i'm thankful for my mom to be here supporting me but i'm not seeing anything on this show that helps keep me away from getting pregnant. the show is telling kids everything will work out, not to worry. children are the greatest gift anyone can receive but it takes work, and i think the show doesn't explain that very well AT ALL

I don't think they are glorifying it at all. It shows the tension between the girl and the family as well as the girl and the father of the baby. It shows what the girl has to go through at school, the stares and the gossip and the horrible things people say like, "You should keep your legs closed" I saw a boy say that on the episode that was on earlier.
Is the show the best idea? No, not really. They don't show exactly how much work a newborn is especially for a teenage mom but if they even tried to do that, the show would be 24 hours long.
