i had unprotected sex 3 1/2 weeks ago.
when i was supposed to get my period..i had "spotting" for 2 days, then i had one day with a normal flow...then for a few days after that ive had "spotting". this is very unusual for me because i have always had a normal period which has lasted from 3-7 days. for the past week and a half i have been extremely exhausted, feeling tired all the time despite the fact that i have been getting more sleep than normal. i have also been peeing very frequently. i know that this isnt a urinary infection or anything of those sorts because i have had that before and i know what its like to have one. i took a home pregnancy test a few days ago and it said that i wasnt pregnant, but i still believe that i might be.

You had your period-- you're not pregnant. Smile

There are a lot of things that can affect your flow-- stress being one of them. And if you had bleeding and a negative test, I'd say you're not pregnant.

Have you considered birh control? That way you won't need to really worry about pregnancy.

thank you for the advice.. but the thing that really scared me was reading online about "implantation bleeding" which is supposed to be spotting around the time you are supposed to get your period, or 2 weeks after the sex. and that is sort of what happened. Thats what has got me really concerned

You tested- it said negative. If you're worried, get another test.

You said you had a day that it was like a heavy flow. Implantation bleeding is NOT like a normal flow. It's much lighter and usually only lasts for a day or two. After reading your post, you said that you had a flow that lasted for upwards of 4-5 days. It seems like you just had an irregular period this month. And, as the earlier poster said, stress can cause your cycle to do crazy things...like what is happening to you right now.
