I've been on the pill (Loestrin 24 Fe) now
for two years. I've taken it religiously
every single day since it was first
prescribed to me. For the past 4 months
I've been skipping the iron pills so I
wouldn't have any periods.
About a month and a half ago I started
taking antibiotics for a sinus infection.
While still on them I had unprotected sex.
Two weeks ago I started feeling pretty
nauseous in the mornings. After a few days
it stopped so I didn't think much of it.
Then a few days ago I started spotting
lightly. It progressed to extremely heavy
bleeding and that night I had the worst
cramps of my entire life. I think I might
have also been running a fever.
I woke up the next morning feeling okay. I
had never taken a pregnancy test, so I
don't know for sure I was even pregnant...
Is it possible that I had gotten pregnant
when I was taking the antibiotics then
miscarried? I know antibiotics drastically
reduce the effectiveness of the pill. If
that's what happened, did I miscarry
because of something I did? I was still
taking the pill every day, which couldn't
be good for a baby. I also drank and
smoked a little.

Please don't feel as though it is your
fault. It sounds like you were pregnant.
Sorry about the loss.
When I had a miscarriage in 2005, I
started looking back to being ina hot
tub, to taking medication, to having
acupuncture. I was looking for every
reason and the more I looked the more I
found reasons. I was driving myself
crazy.
If children are meant to be they are meant
to be. If not, it is up to us to pick up
the broken pieces and put back together
again.
Children come from the Creator. Those
that don't make it hear go up to Heaven.
They become our angels.
