Q: Pregnant and constipation

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I am so constipated to where I don't no what to do anymore I go every 4 to 5 days and to me that's not good I have tried everything but nothing has worked I have even been to the doctor and nothing has changed what should I do I'm at the point to where I just wont to strain myself to get it out can any one help THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you tried high fiber foods or possibly some prune juice...You are at the point where the baby is starting to put pressure on your back bone and this is IMO what is probably causing this...In time it will relax, but believe me I know exactly what you mean...During my first pregnancy, I ended up in the hospital with something just like this...I couldn't walk...The pressure of her pushing on my spine as she grew caused me pain that was simply unimaginable...If it had kept up much longer they were going to consider aborting the pregnancy...I wouldn't have let them, but the pressure and pain was terrible...To make it worse I could not have medication......

I really think you may be going through somewhat the same thing...It will solve itself in time...Congratulations and enjoy the new little one...
