Q: 23 pregnant alone

I just recently found out i was pregnant. The father of the baby and I stopped speaking about 3 weeks before i found out. He would go back and forth between seeing me and his ex girlfriend. I recently got in touch with him and told him that i was pregnant and needless to say he says its not his and wants nothing to do with it. He flipped out and told me that i was being irresponsible if i keep it. I also came to find that his ex girlfriend is also pregnant... which means knowing that she was pregnant he still slept with me. Supposedly he is taking responsibility for his kid with her and is going to be with her (which i didnt want to get back with him anyway). Out of respect i let her know that i was pregnant with his child and that i was going to keep it. Of course the response i got was nasty and she took the things that he did out on me and thinks that i am lying. I think that i can do this and that i am strong enough to handle it all but there are times when i doubt it and wonder if this is fair for the baby. Any advice would be appreciated.

In my opinion as long as you are strong enough you can totally do this on your own! So many women bring up babies single handed! You can totally do this on your own, as long as you have support from family and friends, it sounds like the babys life will be better off without the negativity the father will bring into its life. Go for it! I myself am 23 and believe i may be pregnant but cant do a test yet! Although i have a bf, even if i didnt i know that i could totally do this. Being pregnant is exciting and dont let anyone convince you otherwise. Good luck xxx

Go YOU!
Hey mama! I am in the same boat as you... You can do this, your making a responsible and selfless decision. Make sure you have friends and family to back you up and help you, but more than anything, now is the time to trust yourself and depend on you. Good luck with everything, its a blessing...
