Q: Pregnant after miscarriage and cervical pregnancy ?
asked by: DoctorQuestion on September 24th, 2009
Hi,
Ive got a three year old boy and since then I have had 1 misscarriage and one cervical pregnancy. I'm only 27 and luckily, after 3 operations and two weeks in hospital my dr was able to save my uterous. Its been 4 and half months since I left hospital and I think that i might be prenant!!! I still have about one and half weeks until i am normally due to come on but I'm very tired, feel sick and have swollen nipples. I'm quite nervous about arising complications and I was wondering whether its worth phoning my dr and seeing him, even though it might be too early to detect pregancy with a blood test! I'm driving myself crazy with maybe I am and maybe I'm not and ofcourse the possibility of more complications - please help! Thank you

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
As you yourself realize (even though it might be too early to detect pregnancy with a blood test) it is too early to confirm if you are pregnant or not. The symptoms (very tired, feel sick and have swollen nipples) could be due to the hormonal changes quite common after surgeries on uterus.
They could also be due to pregnancy but generally the symptoms of pregnancy start after implantation. As you report you are not due for another one and half weeks, chances of their being due to pregnancy are less as of now.
You should check for anemia as your symptoms could be due to anemia. With a history of miscarriage, ectopic and surgery, this is possible. Please consult your gynecologist as a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net. Hope this helps. Take care!
