asked by: DoctorQuestion on July 1st, 2008
I had my period June 16 & 17. My cycles are 22 days apart from the day after my period to the first day of my next period. Could i get pregnant if having sex on the 28th? Dont know when ovulation occurs due to having short cycles and short periods.

Yes, you can get pregnant if you had unprotected sex on June 28th.

Ovulation usually happens 14 days before your next period comes. According to the data you gave me your cycle lasts 2 22 = 24 days. This means your ovulation should happen 24–14= 10 days after your period started which is June 16th 10days = June, 26th. Two days before and after the ovulation date (from 24th to 28th June) are considered to be the most fertile days.
