Slim, if you are with a man who is going to leave you just because you can't get pregnant right away, then you are better off without him!

Also, a pregnancy test will NOT work the day after sex. You must wait AT LEAST two weeks after you have sex to try and test again. The best thing you can do is to wait for a missed period.

For getting pregnant, you will have the best luck if you track your ovulation cycle, since clearly "just doing it" isn't working for you. You can also go to a doctor who can check to make sure you are fertile, and your husband should go to a doctor to make sure HE is fertile! This might not be YOUR fault!
