Q: Pregnancy test timing

I had unprotected sex about two weeks ago (stupidest mistake ever made) and though the guy pulled out I'm worried I could be pregnant, I know you can get pregnant even if he doesnt finish in you. The question is, my periods are always all over the place anyways so I never know when I'm going to have it. Rather than waiting like 2 months for no period, if I took a pregnancy test now would it be to soon to tell? Been two weeks since the unprotected sex.

Wait another week or two for full potency. If you are pregnant, it could show a positive now, but to be on the safe side, wait a little so you know for sure. Also, be sure to use your first morning urine, it has the most hCG in it (if you are indeed pregnant).

Good luck, I hope everything works out for you!

If you don't want to wait, then you can schedule a blood test at a clinic-- you're going to have to ask for a blood test. Sometimes with urine tests its hard to tell when they will be accurate, but a blood test will be accurate now.

have you been/do you track your periods? do you know when your last period was? You can get pregnant anytime you have unprotected sex its all a matter of risking that chance And it actually hppening to you. Test closer to your next expected period.
