my girl friend is about 1 month and something weeks pregnant...she took a pregnancy test the first time and it came out positive.....then a bout a week later she took another pregnancy test that came out negative, but a few days before taking it she had alot of bleeding (kind of like her period for about 2-4 days).....i was wondering if that bleeding could have been a miscarriage....

Sounds like her period was late and it was a heavy period. She should see a doctor.

Yes, if she had a miscarriage in between. She needs to see a doctor. If she had a miscarriage, she needs to be checked out to make sure ALL of the products of conception (embryo and other parts) were flushed out properly. If some pieces are left inside of her she could get very, very sick.

Blood test=doctor's office

She should be checked to determine whether it was a late period or a miscarriage

She can go to planned parenthood without parental consent. She really needs to be check out and while y'all are there you can look into getting birth control!

Your gf's health is more important but she should be able to be seen without her parents finding out.

If she was pregnant with a positive stick, then miscarried and took another test that close, it would probably still be positive (not a for sure thing, but most likely, as a woman's hormones don't just disappear when she miscarries). One of the tests was probably wrong. If she did miscarry, her tests will come out positive until her HGC levels are below what the tests can detect.

This is true. It sounds to me like it was a late period.

You know I didnt even think about that... I miscarried in October of 07 months into my pregnancy... and even after the miscarriage I remained at a positive for a while thru my follow up appointments...

Maybe that happened to me because I was further along. But also true that you would have gotten a false positive, which is rare, but does happen. (Usually the reason why people re test)

I miscarried at around 6-7 weeks and positives came up for 3 weeks afterwards.
