I was referred to a gastroenterologist for what turned out to be stomach flu. The doctor said because I am in my late 40's it is about time I had a colonoscopy. He said that 5 day's before I need to have a pregnancy test. I was about to explain to him that I have had no sexual partner since the 80's, so there is no way I could be pregnant, but he had an emergency, gave me my prescription and left.
Do I have to have the pregnancy test? Won't the colonoscopy tell him all he needs to know?
