Okay,
So I basically need some help and advice here.
I got the implant in my arm about 2 weeks ago and for the past few days i've been feeling pregnant. I'm getting some cramping, my period is 8 days late.
The symptoms i have are dizzyness, sore back, sore sides, headaches, nausea, restless and my breasts are quite sore and changing darker. This is all the symptoms i had in my previous pregnancy.
I've done 2 pregnancy tests, but all have been negative !
However, i've heard that being on the implant means even if you are pregnant..the result will still be negative. I'm so confused!

I had sex with my boyfriend BEFORE the implant was inserted but it was the 'withdrawel' method and condoms, so there shouldn't be a chance i was pregnant before the implant.

Someone please help !!!
Thank you

I am not a doc or anything but I have been on the implant for 2yrs now. And I can honestly tell you this, that when you are on the implanon you will feel like your pregnant. I have been feeling movement in my stomache, dizzyness and everything. I don't know why this birth control make women feel that way but it does. If you do a liitle more research on it you will see that so many women have felt that way but so far no-one has gotten pregnant while on this birth control. I know you say that you were sexually active before getting your birth control. But i'm sure the doctor gave you a pregnacy test before inserting it. and if it makes you feel better I had sex before getting mine and it you need more conformation take an at home pregnancy test. good luck I hope that everything works out for you

Your ignorance is bliss!
How can u say no one has ever fallen pregnant on implanon? I had implanon in my arm for 18 months.. I suspected I was pregnant so naturally I went to the doctor and was told it's not possible or highly unlikely without even having the doctor feel my stomach, she gave me a urine tests it was negative! She told me if I still felt as though I was pregnant to come back in a couple of weeks! I went to the doctor2 weeks later with the same issue ms was sent for a blood test.... 2 days later my faults said I was 6-8 week pregnant I knew it! 3 days followingthe positive result I ended up in hospital having a miscarriage and completely laboring my baby.... It turns out I was 16 weeks pregnant! DOCTORS DON'T ALWAYS KNOW!

I really want it removed because i don't want to feel this way.
My doctor never did a pregnancy test before i had the implant inserted, so thats making me more paranoid about it.
I've taken 3 pregnancy tests, and all have been negative. I'm going to get checked today anyway so that I can be reassured.

Thank you for your reply Smile

On implanon, could i be pregnant?
Help...

Ive had the implanon for two years now and it has never affected me until now. I am having a few pregnancy symtoms such as, nausea, sore boobs, excessive weight gain whilst eating salad and fruit! I am also experiencing cramps in groin and stomach.

A couple of months ago, i took St Johns Wort for a few weeks to help with my depression and i have since found out that this can affect birth control.

Can anyone help????

I also have the implanon, for 2 years and a few months. It has always made my perioda irregular, boobs sore, bad cramps, passing huge blood clots, etc... I bled for 3 solid months after getting it inserted. FOr the last 7 or 8 months my period has been regular, once a month for 5 or 6 days and not too heavy. I had a period the first of July and didn't stop until the end of the first week of August. I too have been feeling movement in my belly, so I decided to take a pregnancy test. I took 2 on Friday, they were negative. I didn't want anyone to see them so I left them in my desk drawer over the weekend. I looked at them on Monday, and both had positive lines. So, I took 2 more yesterday and they were negative. I also left them in my drawer. I look this morning and they both have positive lines. I know they are void after 10 minutes, but I have taken many tests in my time and have never had one "change" like this. Anyone else ever had this problem? I am technically not supposed to start untilt he first of September, but since my last period was a month long, I really can't go by that. With my last child, I was on the pill and had a period, but was almost 8 weeks pregnant when I found out. HELP!!!!

I'm Pregnant on Implanon
I had my Implanon for 18 months and just had it removed 2 weeks ago. I am now 5 months pregnant! Hints the reason why they removed it. I felt huge, tired, not sexy, and would get sick in the mornings when I brushed my teeth. I got sick brushing my teeth every morning on my last 2 children. Everyone kept telling me it was the side effects because all my test were negative. The doctor even did blood tests that were negative! The way we found out was I can feel movement, so demanded a ultrasound...woop their he is!

Did you have any other symptoms? I started feeling more fatigued and more emotional mid-february all of a sudden. Then I remembered I took some allegry medicine one day around the time I was with someone. So it's possible the medicine could have interacted with the birth control. I had stomach cramps, food cravings, but the most was fatigue and mood swings. I havent been really stressed or depressed. But all I want to do is sleep and lay down. I'm so tired alot of times, alot more than usual. Took a test, and it was negative. But I also took the test at 2 in the afternoon. I was thinking that maybe my hormone level was too low, but I would have been at least 2 months when I took it, I would think. I would need to take the test first thing in the morning, and if negative again, then I guess a blood test and possible ultrasound. I just think it's strange that I would be getting more fatigued and mood swings about the same time and it's still ongoing. And I wasnt even being paranoid about it! I didn't think anything of the medicine I took until I started feeling more fatigued and mood swings. Something makes me upset, and then I wonder why that made me upset, and getting upset for no reason- over-emotional basically. I did get sick one day after feeling sick during the night and I felt a tightness in my stomach/abdomen during the night too. I get no period still, but my period stopped after my 2nd implanon was inserted back in october. If I am preg, I would be 3 months, I would think.

Implanon and pregnancy
My implanon is due to be taken out in March of 2011. I am having all the symptoms all of you are having. I even look pregnant. I have taken 1 pregnancy test and it was negative, but while normally it shows up really well, this time I could barely see it. This implanon thing is really getting me worried. I think it's interesting that someone could be 5 months pregnant with it in and not know it... what if I am? I already have 3 children... What will I do?

hey, my 2nd implant was due for removal next November but i had it removed 2 weeks ago due to the bleeding. 3weeks before removal the nurse at the clinic put me on mmicrogynon to stop me getting 'caught out' immediately after removal. but since last week my boobs r so sore and swollen, i feel nauseus every day and severly constipated. done a pregnancy test, negative so asked my dr for a blood test today and he told me i couldnt be pregnant and wouldnt do one. what should i do??

implanon and pregnancy
i have had my implanon for almost 3 years and never had a period. well over the weekend i started to spot. i have an ultrasound in 1 hour. i have gained 65 pounds with it and feel miserable. the drs think i am pregnant. i would not recommend this to anyone. when i was 16 my mom forced me to get it , ever since i got it i have been emotional, every bug that goes around i get. its like it destroyed my immune system, i never used to get sick untill 3 years ago, they say 1 out of every 100 women get pregnant using implanon. but also know when you get it taken out you are extremely fertile. i get my implanon out on friday because this feeling ive had and the weight is not worth it.
