My period is 6 days late and I took a HPT today and it was negative Sad. Anyway for the past two weeks I've experienced horrible fatigue, headache, nausea, light cramping, wind pains, my breasts feel "fuller" and are bigger and my nipples are sore. I heard that some women don't produce a positive test until TEN days after a missed period - any truth to that? Could I be pregnant even though my HPT 6 days after a missed period said negative? I'm going in for a blood test next week to honor the ten day wait suggested by my doctor, I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this?

Thanks for any response Smile.

well my period is usually two weeks late and i usually wait till the two weeks have passed too take a pregnacy test because hcg levels arent as strong as they would be its usually two weeks after a missed period that you take a pregnancy test but then again im not a doctor but thats when the hcg levels are much more stronger if you take it ten days after it might not be accurate and you want to be as accurate as you can be when your pregnant cause i had lost a baby unknowingly due too me taking a pregnancy test to early and it was negative and when i did go to gyn and had another one done it came back positive and then two days later i lost it so id wait till the two weeks good luck
