Hello, I'm 5weeks 3days prego. I started out with strong symptoms, now for the past five days the symptoms are barely
there. Are pregnancy symptoms supposed to get stronger the further along you get? Has anybody had this happen and gone on to have a successful pregnancy?

The same thing happened to me at about that point (fetal age about 3 weeks; time from last period, about 5 weeks and a few days.) I was really worried. I even had brown blood "bleeding" one night around then. I was sure the pregnancy was gone. The best advice I found online was "go buy pregnancy tests at the dollar store - they are literally one dollar each, and test for hCG the same as all the others do." I tested for two days, and it was still positive. A few days later the symptoms started coming back, with a new one added - a tinge of morning sickness. Two days ago a new one was added - extreme fatigue.

Kim, It all depends on what pregnancy signs you are talking about.

Morning sickness is supposed to totally disappear as soon as your body adjusted to the new hormones. The same can happen with the sore and sensitive breasts. As soon as your body adjusts, it can get better or disappear.

Your tummy growing, you gaining weight and your breasts getting fuller and bigger will increase for the duration of your pregnancy.

Cravings can come and go and frequent urination will become more necessary as the baby grows. At 5 weeks you might not even have started experiencing this.

Best of luck with your pregnancy!
