I have had 5 pregnancies, and 5 live births (they are now 16, 13, 7, 5 and 2). I have just pulled out my medical history cards for each of my children be aide I believe I am pregnant for the 6th time. The first positive urine or blood test I had for each of my babies was at gestational age: 16+ weeks (4 months); 14 weeks (3.5 months); 13 weeks (3 months); 11+ weeks (nearly 3 months); and 12+ weeks (3 months) respectively and as stated on my health cards. It is very difficult now because I believe I am pregnant (symptoms) but cannot confirm until I am at least 3 months along. In every pregnancy I had ultrasounds (including 2 of them transvaginal) and none of them showed a sac (or a "black spot") until at least 3 months along...perhaps this has something to do with the position of my cervix/uterus and lack of ability/careful consideration by the ultrasound tech. Anyway, I have just had another ultrasound at my estimated 5 weeks gestation which was negative of course (except for the thickened endo), every day I test urine, and every week I test bloods, but I'm pregnant, I just know. GPs are often (mostly in my case) wrong. The last one I saw (because my favorite ob retired) is sure I am suffering from appendicitis...that was 2 weeks ago and after receiving the TV ultrasound results - wrong!! Anyway, I will have my ultrasound at 11 weeks (so a very painful number of weeks to wait), and I say to you girls that you know your body, of you think you are pregnant then you absolutely need to believe this, feel special, eat well, do everything that a pregnant lady does (take that extra space on the bus if you want to) tell your partner about it, take folic acid daily (very important), take a HPT each day (if you can afford it), and just let it happen if it was supposed to be. The worst case scenario is that it was God's will that it didn't happen (for a very good reason which I'm sure you will ask as a matter of priority when you get to heavens gate). The point of my post (this is the first time I have EVER posted) is that all of the time spent looking at posts (which I have been doing too unfortunately) is a waste of time. I was hoping to learn about early pregnancy symptoms, because this is the first of my total 6 pregnancies that I have ever had any symptoms prior to 3 months gestation. In my last 5 pregnancies for example, I didn't have any nausea or vomiting until at least 11 weeks along - this time it started at 4.5 weeks. Good luck ladies, would live to talk to you (scan you copies of my medical records which show ultrasounds at 10 weeks along - and corresponding urine & blood tests - all negative - followed by healthy, still healthy (2 are teenagers now) pregnancies...looking through the posts for weeks now, I have found the replies very unfortunante for those believing they are pregnant without positive tests, based on personal experience of others, but with certain conviction and lacking corresponding evidence. Doctors as we know are often wrong, personal experience stories are just that - "personal" - your story and symptoms are unique, so document them for yourself, and wait for your personal result - positive or negative. Okay, I don't want to seem like a hypocrit here by posting my own personal results - I have only done this so that YOU KNOW not to count yourself out until you ate AT LEAST 3 months along. My saying..."in God's hands". Baby dust to you all on the Internet (and the hundred of posts from the hundreds of TTC's and hopefuls that I have read page by page).xx
