i am on the depo-provera birth control shot and i got it in august.
i have had unprotected sex since then and it is now august.
i have been having many symptoms and i just FEEL pregnant.
my symptoms are; frequent urination for the past weeks, morning sickness comes and goes; usually at night, or after i eat and once or twice when i first wake up although i do not throw up anything, just nausiated.
i always feel very bloated after eating and pretty much all day.
when on the depo shot your not supposed to bleed.
well, i bled for 4 days. it was lighter than my normal period has ever been and i had severe abdominal pain and sharp pains. i have had lots of gas and some constipation and diarrea.
i am constantly hungry and thirsty.
i have backaches sometimes especially when i sit or stand for a while.
i have noticed im always tired and ive been going to bed alot earlier than normal and i feel exausted before and after i wake up.
ive had alot other symptoms too.
but i just need help figuring this out.

depo-provera!!!NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE THIS INJECTION!!!! i had the injection 6 years ago and bleed for 3 months then two months after found out I was 2 1/2 months pregnant, not only that I was about 20 minutes away from death as I had an ectopic.... I was bleeding internally i had 2 1/2 ltrs of blood in my stomach and i was in a critical state. Stay away from this injection. The worst thing was my Doctor forced this on me and before I knew it the injection was in my arm. At the end I am without a right tube and have cronic periods. ALthough I am pregnant right now 8 weeks and i tell you the stress i am going through in thinking its another ectopic is huge. My chances of another on is 50% greater due to the injection I had. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM IT..... PLEASE IT RUINED MY LIFE

^^^^^ Ok, first of all no one can force you to have the Depo shot, that is entirely your choice. The doctor can suggest different types of birth control but he/she cannot make you take something you don't want to take.

With that said, OP, the only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to get a pregnancy test done. You can take a home pregnancy test(best to take first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated) but your best bet is to go to your doctor and ask for a pregnancy test from them which will most likely be a urine and blood test.

well I am sorry missmelis but my doctor did!!!! I was young and did not have the courage to speak up. so before you pass comment on something you know nothing about not everything in this world happens in a legal fashion.

I'm not going to get into an argument about the Depo shot, but all I'm saying is that no one can force you take take a shot of something , whether its the depo shot, an inoculation or even a vaccine. You just said, you were young and did not have the courage to speak up, therefor you were not "forced" to take it you just didn't say anything. Don't blame the doctor (or yourself because its no one's fault) for giving it to you because you had a bad reaction to the depo injection when you had gotten pregnant and the birth control was still in your system. You could have said no but you chose not to. Every woman's body is different when it comes to what side effects/reactions birth control is going to have them. I myself was on the depo-provera when i got pregnant with my son last year, and had no ill effects. I am sorry you had to go through an etopic pregnancy, because i feel no woman should have to go through that.I'm just throwing this out there, because maybe you hadn't thought of this that you might have had the etopic pregnancy anyways if you did not in fact get the shot ? Unfortunately it does happen though whether that person wants it to or not.

If you really think that your doctor "forced" you to take the depo shot then you could have sued for malpractice.

I stand by my previous statement, no doctor can force you to have the depo shot if you don't want it, but i do believe its your own fault for not speaking up if it was something you did not want in the first place.
