I am 24 years old and married. This month I haven't been feeling myself, I've been very tired and have had excessive heartburn and backaches. I got my period or what I thought was my period 3 days early and it was normal at first then throughout the day got lighter. It only lasted about 3 days. My husband and I have sex often and don't use a condom and I'm not on birth control. Is there a chance I could be pregnant?

Hi! Many thanks for your question on eHealth forum!

If you have a history of unprotected sex, then take a pregnancy test, preferably a blood pregnancy test for confirmation. Low back aches can also be due to pelvic inflammatory disease or due to fungal infection or a STD. Hence get this checked by a gynecologist.

Heartburn, if not due to pregnancy needs to be treated with antacids and Omeprazole. Since a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net please discuss these possibilities with your gynecologist once. Hope this helps. Take care!
